Rafting in China

Summer is here!!. If you live in Xian, China or visiting it and you want to beat the heat and want something close to nature than I would highly recommend rafting on the Dan River, originated from Qianlong mountains, Shangluo in Shaanxi province.

We were only group there. It was good in a way that we were enjoying calmness and singing while moving slow.

Water was calmer than my expectations but some places really tested our rafting skills.

I enjoyed company of these people from different part of the world and I learnt so much from them about their countries.

We stopped here to take few group photos.

This trip was possible through discovershaanxi. I will soon write about things to carry with you on rafting.

Where to travel in China other than Beijing and Shanghai

Hi my beautiful friends

I feel traveling makes me discover more about myself and nature. It also helps me to discover how deep and strong my love is for my family.

If you are planning on traveling then go in favor of china. If you want to experience nature and beauty of mountains than Shannxi province in China is the place to Visit.

Shaanxi is where it began for China. As the heartland of the Qin dynasty. Shaanxi was the cradle of Chinese civilization and the fountain head of Han culture. Xian(i will soon make a post about it too) marked the beginning and end of the Silk Road and was a buzzing capital long before anyone knew of Beijing and its Forbidden City, but let me share my experience of Ankang.

It is very strange that how traveling to new places, leaving coziest place you call home and going out of all your comforts, you get so much love, fun, experience and new friends. The moments you capture, are life time memories for you and for people you share them with you.

It makes me dream bigger, makes me enjoy more of life that I once dreamed. Recalling these memories, that are preserved in the shape of pictures and videos, always remind me that I'm living my dream life.

I never thought one day, I'll get the privilege to travel this place called 'Ankang, China'. Such a beauty it is that one cannot describe it just in words. It was two day trip  first day we hike up to Mt. Nangong (南宫山), it is widely known as the resting place for an esteemed Buddhist monk in the nation.

I hope picture would do some justice but you got to be there to feel the fresh air, chirping of birds, rhythm of flowing water and calmness of Nan Gong mountain.

Glass bridge walk is an amazing experience to have, while hiking up the mountain to reach the sacred Buddhist temple.

On the second day after our breakfast we went to Ying Lake (瀛湖) is highly phrased as the “Lake of thousand Island in Shaanxi”. The Lake is the largest green man-made lake with fresh water in the northwest China after the foundation of the Ankang Power Station.

Completly new place, new people and new experience gave me lot of new friends, memories and enhanced my love for traveling in china.

You must take a boat to the Yinghu Lake is the very place where literates get together to compose poems, paint paintings and take photos which is surrounded by mountains. Boat ride was fun.

Bird House

AND don't forget to try Delicious FOOD of Ankang.

If you have plan of coming to Shaanxi province than you should visit this mesmerizing beauty of Ankang and If not then make one soon.

My trip was possible because of Discover Shannxi. It was great experience traveling and exploring with them. Check their page for more places to Visit around.
